Growing up in Maryland we attended the Church of God Camp meeting in Scaggsville, MD every summer. One summer when I was my teens there was a band called the Sammy Hall Singers that gave a small set of concerts each night for the week. First night I was hooked and I made my dad buy all the albums that were available and I played them and learned every word and they became unplayable. As time will do it marched on and I blindly followed into a sad and anonymous existence ignoring my upbringing and losing faith mostly in myself. Recently my Mother and I started to attend church again (had stopped because my Father died) and I began to think about when we went to church as a family, The Sammy Hall Singers were part of that much happier time, and even though I no longer have the albums I still find myself singing their songs, I Know He Lives, Redemption Draweth Neigh, Great Big God, Ten Thousand Years, I Wish We’d All Been Ready, and of course the classics Till the Storm Passes By, and Amazing Grace. I went looking for information on the group and came across your web site. I miss that music and would love to have it all back again but to borrow a line from a song…(It) lives within my heart! Anyway Thank you for being a part of my growth and re-growth in the church. God Bless You !

Hi Sue - What a great day it was at Millersburg AG. Thank you for your humor and your gift of music; it's a difficult Mother's Day weekend for me and it was such a blessing to attend and be with you and all those present at the luncheon. Blessings to you & Happy Mother's Day

Hi Sue. Just came home from Mt. Morris, PA where I heard you speak. You are a very funny lady and I so needed to get out and laugh. I just wanted to tell you the Lord used you to touch me with your final song, "In Christ Alone." I was in tears worshipping and thanking God for His grace. I just wanted to share my thankfulness to Him and to you for your words. Thank you for sharing your gift.
