Wendi's background is no less impressive. Her first performance was at the age of eight, later singing with her three sisters. She started her professional career in 1981 with Karen Harris Wheaton. Wendi toured the United States, Canada, Central America, South Africa and Europe for three years as a member of the Jimmy Swaggart Crusade team. In addition to her solo career, Wendi has toured with the Downings, from Nashville, TN. Wendi is known as one of the truly great song stylists in Gospel Music.
